BackerKit is live!
about 8 years ago – Mon, Apr 04, 2016 at 08:23:22 PM

Hello Pugmire backers!

RichT here:

We set the Pugmire BackerKit live a few hours ago, and as backers you should have received invites to the site and Surveys to fill out.

A few notes on questions we've already received:

1) The Backer Credit question is for you to give us the name (or names if you pledged for a Reward Tier with multiple books included) that you want listed in the Backer Credits section of the book. That can be your name, your pet's name, a Pugmire character that you are playing's name.Your choice!

2) The Add-Ons are arranged as they were with this Kickstarter, so we only include physical Add-ons if you have pledged to a Reward Tier that includes a physical copy of Pugmire. That's a shipping issue thing. You can Upgrade your pledge to a Reward Tier that includes a physical copy of Pugmire, or go to the Pre-Order section where we have shipping included.

3) T-Shirts are not an Add-on, never were. We will be sending eligible backers a notice that the Pugmire KS T-Shirt is being discounted on our RedBubble site in a few weeks and you will have about a week to take advantage of the discount and order them. It is the only way we can offer a discount as the site is set up.

Hope these points help!

March Goes Out Like a Pug!

Hello Pugmire backer!

RichT here:

It has been a whirlwind these weeks after wrapping up the KS.

Eddy flew out the day we were done and hit two back to back conventions where he was surprised to hear the excitement about Pugmire from all different sorts of attendees. Computer programmers, tabletop RPG designers, fiction authors, friends and their family members; it just seems like word about Pugmire hasn't ended with the Kickstarter, it has just begun!

And a large part of that is thanks to your support!

Meanwhile, I was stuck with the less glamorous side of things, as I dove right into making my very first BackerKit site and survey. This will be really important because the way things are set up will enable backers to have a lot more options as to checking on their pledges, and will let us continue offering Add-ons to you until we ship.

But please, bear in mind that this is still my first time using BackerKit and I am an Old Dog, so New Tricks are tough for me. :)

In other words, I'll probably be fine tuning how to communicate with all of you via BackerKit or through Kickstarter until I figure out which works best.

Right now, I am waiting on their review and OK of the site and survey, and then I'll set them live. So, soon.

Finally, Eddy and I sat down and reviewed his plans for handling the various projects that came out of this KS as well as the outline for the Pugmire book itself. Your input during the KS was really helpful in letting us know what sorts of information you need in there!

Thanks!

And funded!

Hi, Rose here. :) Thank you so much for supporting this Kickstarter. Pugmire is a different and exciting project for Onyx Path, and we're thrilled you're coming along for the ride.

Eddy:

I'm at a loss for words.

Three years ago, I had this crazy idea to do a game with dogs after laughing at my stir-crazy dogs dance and play. When one of them, Puck, passed on suddenly a couple of years ago, I decided that I needed to make it to celebrate his life.

Through every stage of Pugmire, people told me it would be amazing. And I believed them, but I also kept my expectations small. "I'll make a few hundred sales," I thought, "and move on to something else."

And look at where we are now. Over 1000% funded. Over 3000 backers. I'm floored. I'm stunned. I'm amazed.

Puck, old buddy, I hope you're wagging your tail where you're at. Daddy and all of these good dogs made this for you.

Rich:

OMM (Oh My Man)! This has been a phenomenal Kickstarter! Thanks to all of you who believed in our new game world!

We are thrilled to be able to go forth and create the version of Pugmire we imagined doing because of this Kickstarter. I knew I loved the idea when he pitched it to me, but it is amazing and gratifying that Eddy's unique idea resonated with so many people.

Next up, I'll be working with the people at Backerkit to create our survey and get that out to you all sooner than you might be used to with other Onyx Path projects. With Backerkit, there's no reason at all to hold off. Although, this being our first foray into their interface, it might take a little time to get it all together.

Talk to you soon, and once again: huge thanks for all your support!

25 hour warning -- Check your pledges!
about 8 years ago – Mon, Mar 07, 2016 at 11:13:45 PM

Hi, Rose here. ^_^ We're almost at Pan's Guide for New Explorers!

Please, PLEASE, take a moment between now and the end of this Kickstarter in about 25 hours and review your pledge. I know it sounds unnecessary because you're on top of it and/or it's annoying to get multiple warning messages, but every single one of these cases below has happened to backers during one of our other KSs- even after we did multiple warnings.

The simple fact is that we at Onyx Path have so little control over fixing any slip in your pledging once the KS is over, even though we really want to make every aspect of your Kickstarter experience with us fun, that it would be a real shame if you didn't get the rewards you expect.

1) Did you pledge to the Reward Tier that offers you the rewards you want? Go through the description and make sure the rewards are mentioned there. They are not cumulative with the Reward Tiers before them.

2) Does the Reward Tier you pledged to get the Stretch Goals you want? All of our Stretch Goals let you know which backers are to receive them in their descriptions (and if they are part of a project that is itself a Stretch Goal reward, then that project will note which backers receive it).

3) Did you manually add money to the base amount of your Reward Tier pledge for the Add-ons you want? We'll send out the official KS Survey very quickly after this KS is over that will contain spots to let us know what Add-ons you want, but you have to have had added the money yourself, manually, to the pledge before the KS is over. We can't add Screens or what have you after the KS closes.

4) Did you make sure that your payment method is valid? Is your credit card maxed out? Kickstarter will mark your pledge non-collectible and you won't get your Rewards. Did you borrow the card and they decided to block the charge because you had a fight? There's a window to resolve payment issues with KS, but there's no guarantee that resolution will be what you want. Better to make sure your payment method will work now.

That covers the typical trouble spots and we'll be answering your questions in the comments or more directly via that "contact me" link next to Rich's picture for the rest of the KS.

48 Hour Warning -- Check your pledges!
